I have been painting in watercolor for 25+ years. I have used various published books on how to compose and paint in watercolor. Most often used were books by Charles Reid and Frank Webb. I enjoy painting en plein air, usually without drawing the subject first. I just start painting a small focal point and let the painting grow organically. That is how I painted my submission for this "Landmarks" juried show. I painted it a couple of weeks ago at the Winter Park Farmer's Market with a group of Urban Sketchers from Orlando.
