Daniela Banatova was born in the Czech Republic and currently resides in the U.S. She studied textile art design at the Stredni Prumyslova Textilni Skola in Brno, Czech Republic and earned a M.A. in Art History at Masaryk University. She has worked as an art instructor in public and private schools in Europe as well as establishing the School for Young Arts in Ostrava. In 2009 she was voted Business Person of the Year in the city of Belleview and in 2010 was honored with the Key to the City Award for her involvement and contribution to the Belleview art scene. Her latest work "Danae" was exhibited in "Lace not Lace: Contemporary Fiber Art from Lace Making Techniques" at the Hunterdon Art Museum in New Jersey.
